When you register, we collect your name, email address, date of birth, phone number, and home address. FFL dealers additionally provide business name, FFL license number, and business address. We also collect listing content, messages, and payment records (processed by Stripe — we never store full card numbers).

• To operate and improve the Platform
• To verify your identity and eligibility
• To process payments and membership subscriptions
• To send transactional emails (listing approvals, messages, receipts)
• To comply with legal obligations
• To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only:

• With payment processors (Stripe) to complete transactions
• With law enforcement when legally required
• With other users only as necessary for transactions (e.g., seller contact info shared with buyers)

4. Data Security

Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.

5. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication (managed by NextAuth). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect Platform functionality.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. Account deletion requests will be processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
